Face Masks: Dermage (part 1)

Hello! If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know that I’m a lover of face masks to treat my face skin.

Having a skin care routine is paramount to have a not only beautiful, but also healthy skin. I have already tried many different ones, from different brands, and the ones I’m going to talk about here are absolute favourites!

Dermage is a Brazilian brand of skincare produts, founded by women about 30 years ago. Their masks are quite cheap and easy to find (basically every drugstore has them).

I’m not pretty sure how many different masks there are in their catalogue, but I have tried a lot of them. Every mask has a different purpose, so I kinda “collect” them and use them according to what I need.

This one is named “Secatriz” and it is made for acne-prone skin. It has salicylic acid which is used most commonly to help remove the outer layer of the skin. When you apply it you feel it “burning” a bit the skin, but that’s how the salicylic acid works on pimples and blackheads.

It is a white mask, creamy, with a nice smell and easy to apply. I use my own fingers, but some people prefer brushes.

The instructions say to leave it on your face for 20 minutes and then rinse to remove it.

I always notice improvement in my skin when I apply it. This mask does help to treat the pimples when they pop up. For some unknown reason, it is one of Dermage’s maks most difficult to find, so every time I do find it I buy many of them at once, just to make sure I’ll have one in my vanity when my skin gets bad with acne.
